The story will air...on Animal Planet's new hit series Confessions: Animal Hoarding on January 6th 2012.

The series explores stories of people who own more pets then they can care for. The problem of animal hoarding is little understood, but far more common than most people realize. There are over 3000 reported cases a year, and at least ten times that number that go unreported. The series brings families together to voluntarily find humane solutions that work for both pets and people. All of CARES adoptable pets are spayed or neutered and vaccinated.  They are loved, groomed and graduates of basic training. They live in our group home and foster homes, managed 24/7 by a behavioral trainer.We operate a helpline to support people and their pets. We rescue, nurture and train homeless pets in foster families until we place them into forever homes.By focusing on adoption and training - for animals and their people, we help eliminate problems in order to keep pets with their families.
